Tax Hike For The Poor

From today anyone earning less than £15000 - £18000 a year will be several pounds a week worse off thanks to Gordon Brown's termination of the lowest rate of income tax.

Among those worse affected, will be service personnel, nurses, council workers and most agency workers doing menial jobs such as cleaning, agricultural work and refuse collecting.

No longer will the 10p rate apply to the lowest incomes, but the higher rate of 22p has been reduced to 20p in the pound so those on slightly higher and middle income salaries will benefit.

The safety net for those poorest groups is of course the Tax Credits system that sucks more people into state ownership. Those gullible enough to believe that Labour are caring for the poor and are thick enough to not see the trap might be tempted to vote for the communists in future but I hope not.

Labour hates the poor these days, much preferring to chase the rich in an attempt to join them.

However to keep their positions a rulers, someone has to vote for them. Those who like handouts and those who get favours are the safe support that the reds will chase.

Marxism at its worst and most deceitful!
